A graduate of Purdue University, Mark has prepared and prosecuted patent applications for nearly 15 years in the chemical and pharmaceutical arts. His professional experience includes years of working for a major pharmaceutical company in the areas of preparation and prosecution of patent applications, prior art searching and analysis, small molecule exclusivity strategies, infringement and invalidity opinion support, as well as licensing and litigation support. As a project leader, Mark has managed teams in efforts to improve processes related to patent drafting and litigation discovery requests. Mark has special expertise in the areas of organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences and animal health sciences. Prior to becoming a patent agent, he was an organic chemist responsible for the discovery of novel agents directed to the treatments of cancer, neurological disease and endocrine disorders.
